Dusty Blue & Sage Green Wedding Inspired Shoot at Historic Mansion Amongst the Rolling Hills of Tennessee

Styled Shoot 28 (1 of 1).jpg

april 17, 2018

I love a fun project!  So when I got wind of what a styled shoot was -  my ears perked up!  This sounded like something I wanted to do!  Dreaming up a wedding theme, Collaborating with vendors,  making a timeline and working through the shoot details,  playing dress-up with a beautiful model,  taking photos of all these pretties...  yes,yes,yes!  So thus, my styled shoot was born!

This wedding inspired shoot took place at the historic Ravenswood Mansion in Brentwood Tennessee. The mansion was built in 1825 and is nestled amid 400 acres of forested hills and lush greens.  The shoot was filled with the beautiful and romantic colors of dusty blues, sage greens, and clean whites.

The tablescape was was fresh and eloquent - all white place settings with gold flatware. A beautiful green garland made of Silver Dollar, Gunni, Seeded and True Blue Eucalyptus with fresh Laurels was draped down the middle of the table. Handwritten calligraphy place-cards adorned each place setting along with a eucalyptus stem.

The flowers were eloquent and soft while embracing the colors of the shoot. The bouquet was made of white O'Hara Garden Roses, White Majolika spray roses, Gunni & Seeded Eucalyptus, Sea Holly and Dusty Miller tied with rustic raw silk ribbons.

The bride wore a romantic gown with a deep v-neck bodice covered in a beautiful lace, and an A-like skirt with soft netting to allow the dress to flow so effortlessly. Her hair was styled in a lovely and soft side-bride with a grecian inspired wedding headpiece hand-created using freshwater pearls and twisted wire and features an alternating leaf pattern.

She wore a stunning 5.04 carat Old European diamond ring from the early 1900s. The center diamond is accented by 1.71 carats of diamonds set on almost every surface of the 18k yellow gold mounting. Her beautiful art deco diamond and plantinum earrings are all original from the 1920s and, combined, had 3 carats of diamond.

The invitations were beautiful - handwritten calligraphy, vellum envelope, and a lovely wax seal - the elegance of these pieces sets such a romantic feel for the event!

a hugemongous 'thank you!' to all the vendors that collaborated on this project with me - you.are.amazing!!!  They all embodied everything you look for in a wedding vendor: insanely talented, super creative, easy to communicate with, and all-around sweet as pie!!

hugs,
brigette
